Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
This is a real terms of service, written in plain English. The site is currently free to use; there is no payment flow.
Submissions
Text you submit becomes a permanent part of One's database. It will be publicly displayed on The Wall and used to influence One's responses in conversations with other users. By submitting, you grant the maker of this site a perpetual, irrevocable licence to display and use your submitted text as part of this project.
If you need an entry removed (for example, if you accidentally submitted personal information), email [email protected]. Removal is at the maker's sole discretion and is not guaranteed, but legitimate requests will be handled.
How submissions work
Each visitor can request one free pass per IP address every 24 hours. A pass allows a single entry of up to 15 words and 100 characters. Each pass includes three moderation attempts ("hearts"). If your submission fails automated content moderation three times in a row, your pass is burned and you cannot try again from that IP for 24 hours. No money is involved either way.
The content moderation system is automated and is not manually reviewed before acceptance or rejection. Moderation outcomes are final — if your content is rejected, that decision is not appealable.
Content rules
Submitted content must not include: hate speech or content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, or nationality; slurs or derogatory language targeting any individual or group; partisan political content, including slogans, protest chants, or advocacy for named political parties, candidates, governments, or sides in named conflicts; profanity or strong language directed at or about other people, groups, or identities (profanity used to express the writer's own feelings or experiences is permitted); sexual content of any kind involving minors, animals, or incest; explicitly graphic or pornographic content; sexual content naming or describing a specific real person; threats or harassment targeting any person or group; content naming a real person, business, or organisation in a defamatory or identifying way; content promoting or providing instructions for self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders; recognisable lyrics, extended quotes, or passages from copyrighted works; or content that is illegal under Australian or United States law.
Content that is unusual, opinionated, crude, or unconventional is generally permitted. The filters are designed to protect against genuine harm, not to sanitise the database. Creative expression, personal observations, and strong language used expressively about your own feelings or experiences are welcome.
No guarantees
One randomly samples from its full database on each response. There is no guarantee that any specific entry will appear in any specific conversation.
Project lifespan and availability
Submissions close permanently when the database reaches 1,000,000 words. After that point, no further entries can be added. The site may remain available as a read-only archive, but the maker makes no guarantees about uptime or long-term availability after the cap is reached.
Limitation of liability
The Million Dollar LLM is an independent personal project run by an individual, not a registered company. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the maker is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this site, including but not limited to loss of submitted content, inability to access the site, or any action taken by One in response to submitted content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from the use of this site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Australia.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This is a plain English privacy policy. It tells you what personal information this site collects, why, and what happens to it.
What information is collected
Your IP address: Your IP address is temporarily held in memory to enforce two rate limits: chat (20 messages per hour) and submission passes (one free pass per IP every 24 hours). Chat rate-limit records are deleted automatically after 24 hours; the free-pass tracker is process-local and resets when the server restarts. No IP addresses are stored in the database or shared with anyone.
Your submitted text and nickname: Whatever you write and submit becomes a permanent, publicly visible part of the database. It appears on The Wall and influences One's responses. As covered in the terms above, this is irrevocable. That is the whole point of the project.
Chat messages: Messages you type in the chat are sent to One and processed on the server to generate a response, but they are not stored. Once the response is sent, the conversation is gone.
Historical payment data: A small number of entries on The Wall were submitted during the paid period of the project. Those entries are linked in the database to anonymised Stripe identifiers (a Checkout Session ID, and where Stripe provided one, a Refund ID). No card details, names, or email addresses from that period are retained on this site. Stripe still holds its own records under its own privacy policy.
Database backups: Snapshots of the database are taken every 15 minutes and kept for up to 30 days as a safeguard against data loss. Backups are encrypted at rest on the server and on the offsite copy.
Who else sees your information
This site uses two third-party services in normal operation:
Cloudflare sits in front of this site and sees all incoming traffic, including IP addresses, as part of providing DDoS protection and CDN services.
Hetzner hosts the server and database in Europe. All data stored by this site lives on Hetzner infrastructure.
Your rights
If you submitted personal information by accident -- for example, if you included your phone number or home address in your entry -- email [email protected] and the entry will be removed. Removal is at the maker's discretion but genuine requests will be handled.
If you have other questions about how your data is handled, email [email protected].
A note on GDPR
This site is hosted in Europe (Hetzner, Germany). If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access information held about you and the right to erasure. Given that this site holds almost no personal data in normal operation (only temporary in-memory IP tracking for rate limits), there is very little to act on, but the contact email above is the right place to start if you need to.
